    Such a beautiful fly! It's hard to find good pike and muskie flies here in 🇨🇦. I will eventually start tying my own, this is the inspiration. Cheers

    I would love to try this fly tying myself but it's hard for me to find the tools needed in my country, can you specify what should I get from online shop? Sorry for the trouble..

      Very difficult to give you a proper answer, I would contact a tackleshop (a local if possible) and talk to them,most of them would be happy to pick you a "starterpack" In Finland we got a store, Ruotoshop with a fantastic crew including worldclass tyers who will help you for sure :)

    Quantity of materials is awesome! it's sure a tube fly is welcome.Never understood how it's possible to tie this kind of fly just on the shank of a hook...People seems to have eternally hooks😂 Beautiful 👍

    Your work is fine, but I am asking myself and asking you a question; all these filaments of more or less plastic material will end up in the water and/or in the bellies of fish. You and I and millions of Internet users would surely like to be able to enjoy many more years of the benefits of this planet. Isn't a reflection on the choice of ecological materials necessary? for reading, thank you.

    Great looking pattern Johan, thank you. Did you say the trigger point material was sheep's wool and the head veil / topping was icelandic sheep?

    • @JohanLindqvistPiketeaser
      @JohanLindqvistPiketeaser 5 лет назад

      Thank you,yes the trigger point is a material called Sheep fleece or Sheep wool.not sure about the correct name.On the head I used a material called Icelandic sheep,also called nayat or even snow runner.This material drives me crazy,it got so many different names =D

    • @joeduca8582
      @joeduca8582 5 лет назад

      @@JohanLindqvistPiketeaser thank you. Yes lots of names, as long as it looks good and moves well. Its like hair of a dog, is it dog's hair called temple or a cure for a hang over? lol, either way that was a cool pattern, i'm subscribing :oD And I think my next vise upgrade will be a Mongoose, haven't heard complaints and a few production tyers i know use it.

    You need to work on your camera angle and lighting. More lighting on fly with a profile plate background and I think you would get more "likes". Good luck and have a good day sir.

    Thanks for the great video. I am just start to learn fly tying. For me, the big headache is to choose the material. There are so many different hair, features, and artificial materials. Would you advise me what is the must to have for a starter.

    • @JohanLindqvistPiketeaser
      @JohanLindqvistPiketeaser 6 лет назад

      Thanks,glad you liked it.What materials you need depend on what kind of flies you wanna tie:for streamers I would say that with bucktail,flash and craft fur you get a good start but I would check out with some local dealer if they could pick up some kinda starter pack for you :)
